The 40W SolarWhiz Solar Powered Roof Ventilator comes complete with both the adjustable thermo/hygrostat and Night kit. The N-OPS kit (Also known as the Constant Current Module) can run during low-light hours such as heavily overcast days, or night-time. When solar power isn’t providing enough, mains electricity immediately supplements it to ensure continuous operation through a constant current, rather than a simple switch once solar is gone. Once night falls, the system automatically transitions to operate solely on mains electricity, ensuring continuous ventilation throughout the night.. Also included is an adjustable digital thermo/hygrostat, allowing you to define the required temperature & humidity for the unit to begin operating at with an easy-to-use interface. These two components combined provide a comprehensive roof ventilation solution.

The SolarWhiz 40W With Night Kit and Adjustable Digital Thermo/Hygrostat is one of our medium–sized solar-powered roof ventilator units. Designed and manufactured in Australia and developed to withstand the harsh Australian climate. Ideal for extracting air from localised areas such as smaller houses or units, second-storey of two-storey structures as well as small shops. It expels heat from your roof and replaces it with fresher, more ambient outdoor air. It uses solar energy to function, keeping the heat away from your home on hot summer days.
The included Adjustable Digital Thermo/Hygrostat provides total control when your Solar Whiz operates, and you can deactivate the system to keep the heat in winter. The Night Kit will run during low-light hours such as heavily overcast days or night-time and this enables your Solar Whiz to run on mains electricity.
The SolarWhiz 28W utilises a smart power management system for optimal roof ventilation. During daylight, it primarily uses solar energy but actively supplements with mains power to maintain a consistent airflow, operating as a constant-current system rather than a simple switch after solar depletion. The Solar Whiz runs whenever there is active sunlight reaching the solar panel, it does not include a battery to continue operation beyond daylight. For most installations dealing with heat within roof space, this is suitable as direct sunlight is often the cause of excessive roof space heat. Solar Whiz is an effective solution for hot roof spaces or home interiors; providing an efficient exchange of hot air from within the property. High volumes of hot air can be extracted from the roof space and/or home interior, thus allowing for a much cooler atmosphere in the ceiling and living spaces.
The included adjustable thermostat provides complete control over when your Solar Whiz operates. During periods of exceptional heat, this can enable the unit to operate earlier, preventing heat build-up. Alternatively, you can deactivate the system to retain heat in winter. The Night Kit can still work during more gloomy days or even throughout the night and enables your Solar Whiz to run on mains electricity once the solar charge has depleted.
