This all-in-one ventilation kit features a high-performance inline fan designed for discreet installation in your roof cavity. The set includes a modern frameless ceiling vent, a slimline roof outlet, and all the flexible ducting required for a full setup. It also features an integrated back-draft shutter to improve home insulation by preventing unwanted drafts and heat loss.
The inline motor comes equipped with a built-in dual-speed switch, allowing you to easily toggle between high and low airflow settings depending on your needs.
By choosing an inline extraction system, you ensure that large volumes of moist air are exhausted directly outside rather than being trapped in your roof space.
The flow of air is as follows:
Internal ceiling vent – inline fan – back draft shutter – roof vent.
Installation
The kit is intended as a “do it yourself”, and the fan can be plugged into an available power point in the roof space (connected to a switch in the room). This is usually available in bathrooms, toilets, and the like, or an electrician could install it independently of the system installation.
How to calculate the required air volume
For good ventilation, it is recommended to achieve 15 air changes per hour in a bathroom, toilet, laundry or similar. To work this out, calculate the volume of air in the room ( length x width x height, all in meters) and multiply this by 15 to get the required air volume of the fan. Note this will be adequate in most situations. We recommend that those clients who have a lot of glass or have warmer, longer showers or simply prefer a minimum of steam/moisture get a fan with double or more the recommended capacity.
